Wayne White is the guy who designed the set for Pee Wee’s Playhouse and Beakman’s World – He has been an inspiration for me since before I even knew who he was. Recently He came to speak at IUPUI in Indy. Now a days he is making fine art from thrift store paintings by adding words on top of them. His talk recounted his personal history as an artist and he had a few words of wisdom for those of us just starting out.
- Be weird.
- The stuff you do for fun in the studio is probably good.
- Critics don’t know sh*t.
